- Apple Jack: This foot movement is done on a time with both feet. On the soles of the left foot, twist with the heel to the right and the right heel, twist the toe of the right foot to the right, return to the centre, on the soles of the right foot, twist with the heel to the left and on the left heel, twist the toe of the left foot to the left, return to the centre.
- Buttermilk (pigeon wings, split, Dorothy’s step): Raise on the soles of both feet, turn outwards on each side and return to the centre.
- Clap: This movement is done over a period of time, often without moving your feet. Hands clapping together for a while.
- Charleston: Not left front, kick right leg front, step right rear, touch left rear. This movement is also made from the other leg.
- Coaster Step: A three-step movement on 3 strokes (e. g. 1&2), step back on the right foot, step back on the left foot, step forward on the right foot. This step is also executed on the opposite side.
- Drag / Slide: Lift up on the sole of the foot and slide forward or backwards.
- Fan: Swing your toes sideways and back, keeping the weight on your heel.
- Foot / Heel Touches: Set of steps followed with a time or half beat (time &.). Point the foot or heel forward, sideways or diagonally and return to the starting foot.
- Heel-Ball-Change: This movement is performed on three strokes (1&2) by pointing the right heel forward, coming back on the right foot and not on the left foot. This step is also executed on the opposite side.
- Heel-Ball-Step: This movement is executed on three strokes (1&2) by pointing the right heel forward, coming back on the right foot and not forward on the left foot. This step is also executed on the opposite side.
- Heel-Ball-Cross: This movement is the same as “Heel-Ball-Step”; lastly cross the foot in front of the other by placing the weight instead of taking a step forward.
- Hip Bumps: This movement is done on 3 times (1&2) by advancing the right foot and the right hip forward (diagonal), bringing the hip backwards, hip forward (diagonal). This step is also executed on the opposite side. Can be done occasionally on a time by adding a pause.
- Hitch Lever: one leg by folding the knee forward; and, at the same time, jump on the other foot.
- Hook: Cross your legs by bending the knee of the support leg.
- Jazz Box: A combination of 4 steps crossing the right foot in front of the left foot, not side on the left foot, not back on the right foot, not together on the left foot. This step is also executed on the opposite side.
- Jumping Jack: This step is a jump by spreading both legs apart and coming back by crossing one leg in front of the other to do? turn or? turn.
- Kick-Ball-Change: A movement of three steps on 2 times (1&2); make a “Kick” on the right foot, return to the right foot, place the weight on the left foot. This step is also executed on the opposite side.
- Kick-Ball-Cross: A movement of three steps on 2 times (1&2); make a “Kick” on the right foot, return to the right foot, cross the left foot in front of the right foot. This step is also executed on the opposite side.
- Kick-Ball-Turn: A three-step movement on 2 strokes (1&2); make a “Kick” on the right foot, return to the right foot, not side by side with? turn to the left on the left foot. This step is also executed on the opposite side.
- Military Turn: A step forward on one foot and rotate a? turn to face the opposite direction, placing the opposite foot and transferring the weight to it.
- Monterey Turn: This set of footsteps are made on 4 beats. Point your right foot to the side, turn right and bring your right foot to the left, point your left foot to the right and return to the centre. This step is also executed on the opposite side. Some choreographies only do the first two parts.
- Rock Step: The weight on one foot and the other touching the ground, it is about transferring the weight from the first to the second and coming back. A Rock Step can be done from one side to the other, front to back, or rear to front.
- Sailor Shuffle (no sailor): This three-step movement is a two-stroke (1&2) movement; cross the right foot backwards left, not sideways on the left foot, not together on the right foot. This step is also executed on the opposite side.
- Scissor Step: Stand up on the heels, rotate your toes outdoors, and come back.
- Scoot: Lift up on the soles of the foot, slide forward and make a “Stomp” with your heel at the end of the slide. The opposite knee is raised forward.
- Scootch: Similar to Scoot, however, both feet are lifted simultaneously from the ground and the same thing when re-deposited.
- Scuff / Brush: The foot used must be lifted at the back; the idea is to brush this foot (or heel) on the floor, passing the other foot and moving forward.
- Shuffle / Triple Step: Series of three steps (3-step) starting with one foot (right-left-right or left-right-left) and following one another. Can be done forward, backward, sideways or on the spot.
- Slap Leather: Heel forward, swing this heel past or behind the opposite knee (without touching it); strike the heel of the boot with the opposite hand. Bring the heel forward, touching the floor.
- Stamp: When the foot is raised, strike the floor with the sole of the foot and raise it without putting the weight down.
- Step in place: Raise the foot and bring it back to the same place.
- Stomp: When the foot is raised, strike the floor with the ball of the foot and place the weight on the heel. It is therefore possible to do two “Stomps” consecutively.
- Struts / Duck Walk: A walking movement forwards or backwards, placing the heel and then the toe of the foot. At the back, point the foot and drop the heel.
- Swivel: Stand up on the heels or balls of the feet, push the raised part of the feet to one side and return.
- Tin Man: Step forward on the right foot, turn ¼ turn to the left on the left foot. This step is also executed on the opposite side.
- Toe Touches: Toe touches in the direction indicated. This movement requires no weight.
- Vine: A series of steps in one direction, usually done sideways, in four, six or eight counts; one foot crossed, the other crossed forward or backward.
